Converting Images to PDF for Exams & Assignments
For students submitting online exams or assignments, most portals (like Blackboard, Moodle, or Google Classroom) require a single PDF file. However, you usually take photos of your handwritten pages, resulting in multiple JPG images (IMG_001.jpg, IMG_002.jpg, etc.).
Uploading 10 separate images is often blocked or frowned upon by professors. Here is the fastest way to combine them into one PDF.
Why Not Just Paste into Word?
Many students paste images into MS Word and then save as PDF. This works, but it often:
- Reduces image quality, making handwriting hard to read.
- Messes up margins and orientation.
- Creates a huge file size that takes forever to upload.
The Better Way: Image to PDF Tool
Using a dedicated converter preserves the quality of your photos while keeping the file size reasonable.
- Take Clear Photos: Ensure good lighting. Use your camera app.
- Go to Image to PDF: Open PDF Tools Suite and select "Image to PDF".
- Upload Photos: Select all your page photos at once.
- Create PDF: Click convert. The tool will stitch them together into a single document, maintaining the original quality of your camera.
Bonus Tip: Reducing File Size
If your portal has a 5MB limit and your PDF is 20MB, use the PDF Compressor tool immediately after converting. It can shrink your file by 70-80% without making the text unreadable.
